Purpose of the role:

To develop and maintain the day to day organising and functionality of the setting provisions.

To provide a happy safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the children is taken in to full account.

To encourage the children to maintain and develop their own individuality and independence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To support the day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the setting facility.
  • To ensure that developmental records for your key group are kept up to date.
  • To support your colleagues and work as part of a team in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children. (Ages range from 6 weeks to 13 years dependent on setting).
  • To assist in the development of an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the setting, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • To treat information of matters relating to the work within the setting as confidential.
  • To ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene and welfare whilst maintaining adequate supervision of the conduct of the children attending the setting.
  • To ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.             
  • To help support the management team to ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
  • To support the management team in striving to deliver an outstanding setting
  • Any other duties that may be required.                                        

Requirements:

  • Ideally a recognised childcare qualification level 2 or above
  • Ideally some previous experience working in childcare
  • A real passion for working with children
  • A strong command of the English language
  • Flexibility and punctuality

Purpose of post:

Responsibility/Duties:

  • To take full day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the room facility.
  • To help maintain staff records and assist with appraisals and supervisions.
  • To provide an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the setting, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • To establish, in conjunction with the childcare SENCO, individual programmes for any children with special needs. 
  • To treat information of matters relating to the work within the setting as confidential.
  • To ensure any injury or accident or suspicion of non accidental injury are recorded correctly or reported.
  • To ensure a high standard of hygiene in relation to staff, children, equipment and surroundings.
  • To ensure Kids play policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
  • To support the nursery manager in striving to deliver an outstanding setting.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for your allocated age group. Helping students and trainees to settle in and make a contribution to the assessment of the students and trainees performance and to ensure high standards are continually being met.
  • To open and close the nursery alongside deputy and nursery manager
  • Any other duties that maybe required

What do we need from you:

  • A recognised childcare qualification level 3 or above
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with children
  • Ideally some previous room or team leading experience
  • A real passion for working with children
  • A strong command of the English language
  • Flexibility and punctuality

This Post requires satisfactory criminal records bureau disclosure

Purpose of post:

To provide the admin support to the nursery ensuring that highest level service is provided to the customer, whilst supporting the business to provide a happy safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the children is taken in to full account.

Responsibility/Duties:

  • Supports the Nursery in achieving targets set by the Managers, senior managers and business.
  • Supports the Nursery & Pre-school Manager and their team to allow them to achieve high standards of childcare.
  • Maintaining family and account records on the nursery computer programme (Parenta), for which training will be provided.
  • Dealing with any parents account queries swiftly & efficiently. 
  • Good customer service skills required.
  • Maintaining accurate staff employment records, including the collection of references and CRB/DBS.
  • Invoicing monthly via Parenta & the monthly collection of direct debits.
  • To work alongside the Pre-School manager to Ensure the Early Years, 2,3 & 4 year old funding is claimed correctly and head count forms completed by parents on a termly basis and submitted to the council within the omitted time scales.
  • Monitor & track Funding payments and highlight any anomalies immediately to the management team.
  • Post payments to the children’s accounts to ensure accuracy of accounts.
  • Collection of fees including the administration of Childcare vouchers, pursuing outstanding fees and resolving any account queries.
  • Ensuring that all families are on a direct debit for monthly fee payments.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential staff, children's and parent’s records.
  • Liaising with Head Office as and when necessary
  • Sending reports to Head Office as appropriate and approved by Nursery/Pre-School Manager.
  • Using computer based software systems.
  • Liaising with Nursery/Pre-School Manager and Head Office with general employee administration.
  • Preparing banking on a weekly basis.
  • Sending authorised invoices to Head Office for payment. Applying to Head Office for authorised refunds.
  • General computer use, accurate use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preparing payroll information weekly & monthly through our computer based Kronos system.
  • Keeping petty cash records.
  • Welcoming parents, children and visitors.
  • To show prospective parents around the nursery.
  • Communicating pleasantly and effectively in person, in writing and on the telephone.
  • Keeping the office tidy.
  • Working closely with the Nursery & Pre-school Manager and their Deputies.
  • General office duties, including answering the telephone and organizing the nursery & pre-school diary.
  • Ordering from suppliers.
  • Note take, record meetings of minuets.
  • Any other duties requested by the Manager/Deputy.
