Yes, we ask that children attend a minimum of two sessions per week to help them settle and get the most from their time with us.

We’re unable to offer session swaps. However, you are welcome to book additional sessions, subject to availability.

Our settling-in programme usually follows four stages:

  • Session 1: A one-hour visit with a parent or carer.
  • Session 2: A two-hour independent session.
  • Session 3: A three-hour independent session.
  • Session 4: A four-hour independent session.

Depending on your child's individual needs, we may also arrange a home visit before or after their settling-in sessions.

Every child settles at their own pace. If your child needs a little extra time to adjust, we may recommend extending the settling-in period or offering shorter sessions until they feel happy and confident. Our experienced team will work closely with you throughout the process to ensure your child has the best possible start at Odds Farm Day Nursery & Pre-School.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, offering full-day childcare across our baby, toddler and pre-school rooms.

Our purpose-built nursery is set within Odds Farm Park, welcoming families from Beaconsfield, Marlow, Wooburn Common and the surrounding areas.

Set within a farm park, children enjoy daily supervised farm visits and animal encounters alongside the EYFS curriculum, with free-flow indoor and outdoor play in all weather and private gardens exclusive to the nursery.

The health and wellbeing of all our children is our priority. If your child is unwell, we kindly ask that you consider whether they are well enough to attend nursery.

For example, if your child has needed Calpol or another temperature-reducing medicine every four hours over the previous 24 hours to manage a fever, we ask that they remain at home until they are able to maintain a normal temperature without medication.

If your child has experienced sickness or diarrhoea, they must stay at home for 48 hours after their last episode before returning to nursery. This helps reduce the spread of infection and protects all children and staff.

If your child has been prescribed antibiotics, they should remain at home for 24 hours after their first dose before returning. This allows time to monitor for any potential allergic reactions and ensures they are well enough to attend.

We are happy to administer prescribed medication during your child's nursery day. Please ensure all medication is provided in its original packaging with the prescription label clearly displayed, along with any required consent forms.

This version is a little warmer and reads more like a nursery policy while remaining easy for parents to understand.

Yes. All booked nursery sessions remain chargeable, including bank holidays and any periods when your child is away on holiday.
